Here’s another quick and easy decoupage DIY! In this DIY I’ll be decoupaging on glass cutting boards that I purchased from The Dollar Tree! I will demo several techniques including reverse decoupage AND the ‘iron-on’ method. These two techniques makes this project so much fun and so easy! You will be creating beautiful glass cutting boards in no time! You’ll need some decorative napkins (I get mine from Vippies Designs) glass cutting boards from The Dollar Tree and other readily available crafting supplies, like: brushes, Mod Podge, chalk paint, nail file, alcohol wipes and acrylic sealant! I’ll also introduce you to my newest crafting tool, a small craft iron by Cricket! But you can also use a household iron to do this project. These cutting boards are fun to make, great gifts and a fantastic project for craft nights with your friends! These cutting boards are beautiful decor but they can also be used! However they do need special care. Here’s some important instructions and other information : no dishwasher, no microwave, wipe the top after use and dry. i used the iron method to decoupage my dresser's drawer sides... i painted the base color first... than i spread the mod podge over the base coat.. let it dry completely... and than place the tissue paper [ i used packaging one] over the mod podged area.. than place a perchment paper on the tissue paper and do iron on it like we do on clothes.. 😁 when tissue paper stick to the mod podge than use a sand paper [or scissor to cut] for scape it.. light sanding on the edges.. and than seal with the clear topcoat ... 😊
You can take any box, an old cigar box that you've been holding on to, a decent cardboard box or you can just purchase one that you like at the craft store. I'll show you how to use napkins, decoupage glue and a craft iron to make it a pretty little storage container, a place to put your earrings or just keep a special little something inside of. I will show you which high gloss top coat to use and I'll even add a little glitter! Decoupage DIY using FABRIC on a “Glass Cutting Board” that I purchased from The Dollar Tree!! You can see my diy video where I demo using a napkin, here’s the video link: 🤍 In this video I’m using FABRIC! A little different and I will show you step by step! I will demo several techniques including reverse decoupage AND the ‘iron-on’ method. These two techniques makes this project so much fun and so easy! You will be creating beautiful glass cutting boards in no time! You’ll need some cotton fabric that can be purchased from large craft and hobby stores. Maybe you already have some fabric on hand! You’ll also need: glass cutting boards from The Dollar Tree and other readily available crafting supplies, like: brushes, Mod Podge, chalk paint, nail file, alcohol wipes and acrylic sealant! I’ll also introduce you to my newest crafting tool, a small craft iron by Cricket! But you can also use a household iron to do this project. These cutting boards are fun to make, great gifts and a fantastic project for craft nights with your friends! A very unique gift for showers, birthdays, Easter, weddings, Mothers Day, hostess gifts and more! These cutting boards are beautiful decor but they can also be used! THEY DO NEED SPECIAL CARE! Here’s some important instructions and other information : no dishwasher, no microwave, wipe the top after use and dry. Do not submerge in water and use only as labeled “cutting board”! How to Dry Decoupage ModPodge - tissue paper and iron 1. Select the piece you want to embellish with paper of your choice. 2. Papers of choice are not limited to Tissue paper, placemats, or napkins. 3. Paint the piece and allow to dry 4. Paint a thin thorough coat of Modpodge and allow to dry 5. Place paper onto surface 6. In this video I’ll demonstrate the “iron-on” method to adhere your decorative napkins to card stock! I’ll take you step by step so you can use your paper napkins to make: Christmas cards, note cards, gift tags, place cards, bookmarks and more! This method is perfect for all paper crafts, rubber stamps, collage, book making, scrapbooking and more! With this method I will be using plastic wrap instead of Mod Podge decoupage glue. This is easy and very budget friendly! You only need card stock, cheap Dollar Tree plastic wrap, cooking parchment paper and an iron (An iron put aside for crafting is ideal) Cards made with napkins are beautiful to look at and have a soft velvety feel, much different from scrapbook paper. Napkins are a great alternative to scrapbook paper! Another great method to use with your paper napkin collection! So come decoupage with me and let’s do some fun paper crafting!
